Keith Urban seemingly hinted at issues in his marriage to Nicole Kidman with a suspicious social media move months ago.
While celebrating their 19th wedding anniversary on June 25, the “Big Little Lies” actress took to social media to commemorate the milestone with a sweet photo.
In the pic, the now-former couple cuddled up to each other ahead of what seemed to be one of Urban’s shows.
“Happy Anniversary Baby ❤️ @KeithUrban,” Kidman, 58, captioned the post.
However, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the “You’ll Think Of Me” singer, 57, did not share a post of his own and responded with a simple heart emoji on Kidman’s post.
In fact, the last time Urban shared a social media post with Kidman was on May 9, when he received the Triple Crown Award.
On Monday, Page Six confirmed that the couple had separated after almost two decades of marriage.
“Sometimes relationships just run their course,” a source told us, adding that Kidman “did not want the separation and was trying to save things.”
TMZ also reported that they have been living separately since the beginning of the summer, with Urban moving out of their family home in Nashville and moving into his own spot.
The “Perfect Family” actress, meanwhile, has been caring for their two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
“[Kidman is] holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone,” a source said, referring to his current tour.
Amid the shocking news, Urban and Kidman’s marriage had seemingly been on the rocks for a while.
In June, Urban abruptly ended a Zoom interview when asked about his feelings on Kidman filming steamy love scenes with Zac Efron in their 2024 Netflix movie, “A Family Affair.”
“What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV?” the interviewer asked at the time — only to be met with silence on the other end until producers confirmed Urban had ended the call.
The couple was also last seen together on June 20, five days before their wedding anniversary, when they watched the World Club Cup Group D match between US side Los Angeles FC and Tunisian side Esperance Sportive de Tunis at the Geodis Park Stadium.
After being snubbed on social media by her now-ex, Kidman left Urban out of her summer recap post on Instagram. She also didn’t mention him when she talked to Forbes about her personal life on Monday.
Additionally, on Sept. 25, the “Practical Magic” actress attended the Clé de Peau Beauté event solo.
She’s also been notably absent from the “Fighter” singer’s High and Alive World Tour since it kicked off in May.
The former couple tied the knot in 2006, nearly a year after first meeting at the G’Day USA gala in January 2005.
Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001, and they share two kids: Bella, 32, and Connor, 30.
