The reason behind the same is Sanjay Dutt, who plays the role of a grandfather. He is seen to play mind games and is shown to have a lot of power.

The trailer features Prabhas sitting in the office of a hypnotist and is instructed to focus on Bappi Lahiri and Usha Uthup’s hit song, Koi Yahan Nache Nache. He is seen worried by the clips and goes into the past, having seen varied creatures and also a haunted haveli. A line in the trailer goes like ‘abhi dekhiye’, and Prabhas is seen going inside the haveli like Raja Saab in order to face the darkest force. The Compound-Generated Images in the Raja Saab trailer have been impressive, and the production quality has not been compromised at all. Director Maruthi has ensured to create a full-fledged romantic horror comedy movie that has Prabhas making the romantic horror comedy very interesting and a full-on family entertainer. Sunjay’s character in the trailer is introduced by Boman Irani and is shown as an ‘exorcist, psychiatrist and hypnotist’. Prabhas is shown to be in a face-off against the character, making even a reference to Star Wars. At the end of the trailer, Prabhas is shown in an old avatar and is hinted at as an evil grandfather. Zareena Wahab is portrayed as playing the role of grandmother to Prabhas.

The Raja Saab director, Maruthi, shares that the trailer is just a glimpse of his creation
The Raja Saab has been produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment, while Maruthi directed the same. The Raja Saab did face many delays and is now set for a Sankranti release on January 9, 2026. Thaman has composed the music for the horror comedy movie, whose expectations have skyrocketed. Speaking of his vision about the film, director, Maruthi shared:
“With The Raja Saab, we wanted to build a world that’s grand, emotional, and entertaining. The trailer offers just a glimpse of the scale and heart we’ve put into it.
