Now, Ranbir Kapoor has given fans a much-awaited update on the next chapter in the franchise.

During a recent Instagram Live session held on his 43rd birthday, Ranbir interacted with fans and offered a glimpse into both his professional and personal life. He shared moments from his time with wife Alia Bhatt and daughter Raha, and also addressed his upcoming projects—most notably, Animal Park.
Speaking about the sequel, Ranbir said: “Animal Park should start in 2027. Sandeep [Reddy Vanga] has been discussing the idea with me—talking about the music, the characters—and it’s just crazy. I can’t wait to be back on set.” He also hinted at early discussions around the technical aspects of the film, including music composition and deeper character arcs, suggesting that Animal Park will be “bigger, bolder, and more engaging” than its predecessor.
While Animal Park is expected to go on floors in 2027, Ranbir Kapoor has a full lineup of projects in the meantime. He will next be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious mythological epic Ramayana, where he plays Lord Ram alongside Yash as Raavan and Sai Pallavi as Sita. With several major titles in the pipeline and anticipation building for Animal Park, Ranbir Kapoor’s next few years promise to be both busy and exciting for fans and the industry alike.
