Mumbai airport turned into a mini red carpet this afternoon as global star Priyanka Chopra landed in the city. The ‘Desi Girl’ kept it effortlessly cool in a lilac athleisure co-ord set, paired with a white tank top that subtly revealed her navel piercing. With white sneakers, oversized sunglasses, and her hair styled open in a sleek centre parting with side bangs, Priyanka exuded casual glamour. Before heading to her car, the actor also stopped to pose with a young fan, much to everyone’s delight.

While speculation is rife that Priyanka is in India to wrap up shooting for her upcoming collaboration with filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli, the actor also made headlines online today for cheering on a fellow Indian star. Taking to Instagram, she congratulated Diljit Dosanjh and the team of Netflix’s Amar Singh Chamkila, which has earned two International Emmy nominations. The biopic has been recognised in the Best Performance by an Actor category for Diljit’s powerful portrayal and in the Best TV Movie category. Sharing her excitement on her Instagram story, Priyanka wrote: “Congratulations Diljit Dosanjh! Punjab Emmy’s te aagaye oye (sic).”
Priyanka remains active on social media. Just a day earlier, she shared a photo dump from her stay in New York, featuring candid moments from work and family life with daughter Malti.
On the work front, fans last saw Priyanka in Heads of State, an Amazon Prime Video action-comedy alongside Idris Elba and John Cena, directed by Ilya Naishuller. The film premiered globally on July 2. Up next, she is gearing up for her long-awaited comeback in Indian cinema with Rajamouli’s SSMB 29, co-starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Though the official announcement is yet to be made, anticipation around the project is already sky-high.
