Since the split, we’ve bore witness to a slow drip of information from both parties about the divorce and its aftermath. Ben addressed the situation publicly back in March, while sources claimed that J.Lo was “hurt” by the divorce that same month.
In the interview, J.Lo referred to the split, as well as what she’d learned from it, as “the best thing that ever happened to me.” “Because it changed me,” she explained. “It helped me grow in a way that I needed to grow.”
Jennifer also revealed that, despite the personal revelations, she still found herself occasionally struggling with the fallout while working on the upcoming film Kiss of the Spider Woman.
“It was a really tough time,” she said. “Every moment on set, every moment I was doing this role, I was so happy, and then it was like, back home, it was not great. And it was just like, ‘How do I work inside of this?'”
