Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson was left “banged up a little bit” after being involved in a terrifying car crash this week.
“We get a phone call around 3 o’clock and Dralin [Thompson’s boyfriend] is pale white,” the reality star’s mother, “Mama” June Shannon, shared via Instagram Friday. “Alana is screaming in the background.”
Shannon went on to explain that the “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” alum was on her way to a hair appointment when her car was “T-boned” by somebody not “paying attention.”
“They are always speeding on her road,” Shannon continued, adding that a 23-year-old boy took responsibility for the accident and admitted he “was going 40 miles an hour.”
The mother of four, 46, also provided her followers with an update on her youngest daughter’s health, noting Thompson is “fine” but was taken to the hospital with “back pain” and “some headache issues.”
“She was hit on the driver’s side of her car. It could’ve been a lot worse,” Shannon added in the video clip.
The TV star said in her caption that her daughter was “banged up a little bit but other than that she is OK.”
Shannon’s update came while she was at the airport, as there was a Delta sign in the background of her video. She also noted she was on her way to get her daughter a “rental car” after the accident.
A rep for Thompson, 20, did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
In 2023, the “Toddlers and Tiaras” alum moved to Denver, where she lives with her boyfriend while attending Regis University.
Thompson was reportedly forced to miss the first day of her nursing program because she is still resting and recovering from the car accident.
Shannon told TMZ Saturday that she’s “thankful” the situation was not worse, claiming there is video that shows her daughter yielding to traffic for about 10 to 15 seconds before she was struck by the other car.
Had she pulled out any faster, “it would’ve been a whole different visit,” the We TV star concluded.
