It continues to make fans curious even weeks after her decomposed body was discovered in a Tesla registered to singer, David Anthony Burke a.k.a D4vD. Although the authorities have not named him a suspect, the case has sparked widespread debate online, not only about his connection to the teen but also about how his career appears to be benefiting in the aftermath.

D4vd has canceled the European and US leg of his shows amid increasing public scrutiny. But it has not affected the streaming numbers of his songs. Rather, they have recorded immense growth. D4vd’s Withered World Tour was meant to carry him across the US, Europe, and Australia. However, after Celeste Rivas’s decomposed remains were found in his Tesla on September 8 in Los Angeles, ticketing platforms like Ticketmaster updated several shows as canceled, including dates in Norway, Sweden, France, and Poland. Still, the increase in streaming revenues may offset these losses. Meanwhile, a resurfaced video has complicated matters further. It allegedly shows Celeste Rivas at one of D4vd’s concerts in Maryland. Some news outlets, including TMZ, reported that fans believe the girl in the clip resembles Celeste. They noted her outfit matched earlier photos. However, the image is unclear and can’t be used to prove anything. Otherwise, the footage could have helped investigators trace her final movements before she went missing in April 2024. Even the police have not confirmed the video’s authenticity, and D4vd has not addressed it.

It all began on September 8 when police began investigating a foul odor coming from a Hollywood impound lot. They opened the trunk of a Tesla belonging to D4vd and found Celeste’s remains. The Los Angeles Times reported that detectives later served a search warrant at the singer’s Hollywood Hills property, where the vehicle had been parked. At the same time, all electronics and other items were seized as part of the inquiry. The Medical Examiner’s Office deferred her cause of death, but investigators believe the body had been inside the car for weeks. Although the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division is leading the investigation, authorities have not directly tied D4vd to the teen’s death due to the absence of strong proof.
