Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar, whose love for racing is as legendary as his films, has opened up about the possibility of bringing the thrill of Formula One to the big screen. In an exclusive conversation with India Today’s Akshita Nandagopal, the actor said he wouldn’t rule out making a film on the lines of Joseph Kosinski’s much-anticipated ‘F1’ starring Brad Pitt.
“If it does happen organically, why not? Maybe we can have a Hollywood collaboration,” Ajith quipped, hinting at the blend of cinema and speed that could one day become a reality.
The actor, who has long balanced his parallel careers as a racer and a film star, spoke candidly about the rush of driving at breakneck speed. “As a driver, you are not thinking about anything. You don’t realise how fast you’re going until you go off the circuit or face a bad crash. You’re pushing the limits of your car, testing your own limits, so accidents are bound to happen,” he explained.

Furthermore, Ajith also reflected on the wider future of motorsport in India. With optimism lighting up his words, he said, “Mark my words, I hope it happens during my lifetime – but there will be a day when we will have an Indian driver who will go on to become a Formula One World Champion.”
A motorsport enthusiast since the early 2000s, Ajith has competed in several national and international racing championships, often taking a break from films to follow his passion. On the film front, Ajith was last seen in Adhik Ravichandran’s ‘Good Bad Ugly’.
