Jennifer Lawrence had a playful footwear moment on the red carpet for premiere of her upcoming movie “Die, My Love.” The event took place during the 73rd San Sebastian International Film Festival at Kursaal Palace on Friday in Spain, and the actress stepped out on the red carpet wearing black Phoebe Philo shoes with high-heeled pumps.

While at first glance it appeared that she was wearing ankle boots, she instead created the illusion of a boot with a pair of high black crew socks and the matching suede Phoebe Philo pumps. Other stars like Ciara, Simone Ashley and Rihanna have worn socks with heels lately, which has been an ongoing footwear trend this year.
The Oscar winner opted to try the trend with the designer’s Soft Pump in a black suede leather with a 90mm heel. The delicate pump has a distinct wide front, a short square toe, an island sole and a lightly padded fixed insole.
The supple leather allows the shape of the foot to show through, a detail that becomes more pronounced over time. The shoe features a light stitching detail around the topline of the heel as well as a slim vertical line over the vamp.
The Soft Pump is available in three other variations, including a black patent leather, a white patent leather and a caramel suede. The unique shoes retail for $1,200 on the brand’s website. Lawrence paired the pumps with a Phoebe Philo wool maxidress in a dark gray, with a high slit that allowed her shoes and socks to peek through, and Phoebe Philo’s double ball earrings.
