Case against Pawan Kalyan fans for creating ruckus at OG screening in Bengaluru

Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited film ‘They Call Him OG’ hit theatres yesterday, delighting fans of the Telugu superstar. However, the celebrations took a controversial turn as Bengaluru Police registered an FIR against some of his fans for organising an unauthorised event ahead of the release.

As the film was released in theatres, his fans held swords in Sandhya theatre in Bengaluru. Madivala police confiscated all weapons, and they are verifying if it’s plastic or original swords. Pro-Kannada activists warn the Andhra Deputy Chief Minister’s fans in Bengaluru.

The actor-politician’s fans violated rules by blocking roads and using a DJ during the premiere show. Kannada Rakshna Vedike members reached the theatre and chased away fans, asking them to obey the law.

As per reports, the Madivala Police registered an FIR against the organisers after securing permission from a city court.

A police officer told PTI, “When we got to know, we immediately reached the spot and seized the loudspeakers on Wednesday and asked the organisers to dismantle the stage.”

Director Sujeeth’s ‘They Call Him OG’ has been receiving a lot of love from the actor’s fans, who are seeing him in a powerful and stylish avatar. The film was shot amid Pawan Kalyan’s busy political commitments, and the team raced against time to complete it.

Produced by DVV Danayya, ‘They Call Him OG’ saw Pawan Kalyan as Ojas Gambheera, who faces crime-lord Omi Bhau, played by Emraan Hashmi. The film also features Arjun Das, Priyanka Mohan, Sriya Reddy, and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles.
