Reality show Rise and Fall delivered a moment of raw honesty in its latest episode when Arjun Bijlani confronted fellow contestant Arbaz Patel over his gameplay style. The conversation unfolded in the basement after Arbaz’s recent fall from the tower, creating a striking contrast to the usual chaos and competition.
Arjun Bijlani calls out Arbaz Patel’s ‘game-first’ mindset in Rise and Fall basement clash
Arjun challenged Arbaz’s approach, pointing out how he often over-analyzes even the most casual interactions inside the house. “Arbaz, mujhe aisa lagta hai ki tu har chiz ko sirf game ki tarah dekhta hai. Jo insaan normally bhi kuch kar raha hota hai, tu use bhi game ke hisaab se analyse karta hai… Kabhi kabhi koi genuinely kuch bol deta hai ya masti mein karta hai, aur tu usko bhi strategy samajh leta hai (Arbaz, I feel like you look at everything only as a game. Even when someone is doing something normally, you analyze it from a game perspective. If you analyze 100 things, maybe 60 turn out right, but 40 go wrong, because not everyone thinks like you. Sometimes, someone genuinely says something or does something just for fun, and you also take that as a strategy),” he told him.
Arbaz, however, was quick to clarify that his perspective is not always rooted in strategy. Citing an example of his interaction with Anaya in the basement, he explained: “Arjun, mai waise nahi sochta. Aaj main basement mein Anaya ke saath tha, aur tumne bola chalo iska makeup karte hai. Agar mai sirf game ke point of view se sochta, to bolta ki abhi aaya hu, ghulna-milna nahi, baat nahi karunga kyunki unhone mujhse baat shuru nahi ki. Lekin mai waisa nahi karta (Arjun, I don’t think like that. Today, when I was in the basement with Anaya, you said let’s do her makeup. If I were only thinking from the game’s point of view, I would have said, ‘I just came here, I won’t mingle or talk because they didn’t start a conversation with me.’ But I don’t do that).”
Arjun acknowledged the point, adding that maintaining this balance is what keeps interactions genuine. “Haan, agar tune aisa kiya hota to woh stupid lagta. Jo tune upar bola tha ki (Yes if you would have done that, you would have looked stupid.. all that you said then) ‘don’t hate me, I’m not like that,’ wo sab flat ho jata (everything would have fallen flat),” he admitted. Arbaz agreed, simply concluding, “Bilkul. Wo hi toh main bol raha hu (Exactly what I am saying).”
The exchange stood out as one of the most candid conversations of the season, showcasing how fragile the line between strategy and authenticity has become inside the tower. As the game intensifies, every decision seems to carry weight, whether it’s about alliances, tasks, or personal bonds.
This week, the house is split into two camps: Workers and Rulers. Hustling as Workers are Bali, Aahana Kumra, Arjun Bijlani, Anaya Bangar, Aarush Bhola, Arbaz Patel, and Akriti Negi, while Rulers include Dhanashree Verma, Aaditya Narayan, Kiku Sharda, Kubbra Sait, and Nayandeep Rakshit.
New episodes of Rise and Fall stream daily for free on Amazon MX Player at 12 PM and air on Sony Entertainment Television at 10:30 PM, keeping viewers hooked to the evolving dynamics inside the tower.
