Priscilla Presley opted for ethereal elegance with a business style approach during her “Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis” press tour in New York City on Wednesday.
For her appearance at 92NY, Presley opted for a semi-sheer blouse with a lavallière, buttons running down the front placket and cinched cuffs creating a bubble effect at the end of the long sleeves. The blouse’s semi-sheer effect was most notable at the waist.

Presley opted to continue the ethereal white motif. Her tapered trousers featured a low-rise waistline, visible pleats and silk fabric for waistline and silhouette definition. The former actress paired her ensemble with pointed-toe heels with bow detailing.
Living under the spotlight for decades, Priscilla Presley’s style has evolved over the course of her fame. In the late 1960s, Presley was well-known for her beehive hairdo and dramatic eye makeup, staples of the glamorous wardrobe she accrued during her marriage to Elvis Presley.

“He did want me to dye my hair black when I was young so we could look alike a little bit,” Priscilla shared on ITV’s “This Morning” show in 2015. Her glam aesthetic was highly influenced by Presley after she moved to Graceland in 1963.
But over the last several years, Priscilla Presley’s glamorous ’60s style transitioned to more understated elegance. Presley wore another monochrome look, similar to her 92NY attire from Wednesday night, at the premiere of “Priscilla” during the Venice Film Festival in 2023.

The look included such dark glamour elements as a chiffon-like top with billowing sheer sleeves and a ruffled statement neckline, which she coordinated with black trousers. She added a pair of flats to complete the ensemble.
Priscilla Presley’s “Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis” chronicles the author’s life in the aftermath of her divorce from the “Can’t Help Falling in Love” singer, including motherhood, dating and how she dealt with public scrutiny. The book is now available.
