    Sofía Vergara Goes Strapless in Dark Floral Bustier for ‘America’s Got Talent’

    Sofía Vergara elevated the bustier silhouette with a Laura Basci design at the “America’s Got Talent” season 20 finale performance red carpet on Tuesday in Pasadena, Calif.

    The Emmy Award-nominated actress merged dark florals with the design, wearing a strapless, sweetheart neckline bustier top with feminine ruffled elements down the front and near the waistline of the piece.

    The bustier top incorporated elements of corsetry in its construction, with a cinched waist for a defined silhouette. Shades of royal purple and emerald featured throughout the garment, adding a dark glamour element to feminine botanicals.

    Vergara’s strapless bustier top was paired with black tapered trousers. The actress coordinated her apparel with jewelry pieces by Beladora Jewelry. Vergara’s look was curated by stylist Rhonda Spies, who also collaborates with Kaitlin Olson, among others.

    Vergara’s turned to Laura Basci and the designer and tailor’s team in the recent past. At the “America’s Got Talent” season 20 semifinals on Sept. 16, the actress wore a customized Nadine Merabi coordinated look featuring Basci’s tailoring.

    Although she’s a designer in her own right, Basci uses her talents to customize designer pieces for stars like Vergara. Basci’s tailoring talents have also been utilized for crafting customizable designer looks worn by the likes of Angela Bassett and Gigi Hadid, among others.

    Along with her judging gig on “America’s Got Talent,” Vergara’s expanded her reach into beauty. The actress founded skin care brand Toty in 2023. In March, the brand launched at inclusive retailer Thirteen Lune.

    “I moved to United States, like 30 years ago, and even before you would get brands that would have three or four colors, and now you have brands like, like Rihanna’s brand that it’s like, unbelievable that there’s, you know, a color for every single skin color,” Vergara told WWD’s Beauty Inc. in March.

    “That is amazing that things have changed a lot. Before it was very, very difficult to find colors for or shades that would look nice with women of color, even including Latin people, Black people.”
