Miranda Lambert leaned on a sneaker with streetwear pedigree for her round at the Ryder Cup Celebrity All-Star Match on Wednesday in Farmingdale, N.Y. The country star teed off in Air Jordan Retro Nu 1G Golf Shoes, a guava-pink and white colorway customized for the event with “Ryder” stitched across the heel.

The style retools Michael Jordan’s first signature basketball shoe for the fairway, trading its original flat sole for a traction base that can handle grass and gravel. Lambert’s pair layered pale pink suede with white leather overlays and tonal laces.
Lambert wore Team USA’s navy skort and tricolor polo, finished with a red Ryder Cup cap. Aviators and a low ponytail kept it classic, while the guava Jordans cut through with a pop of subtle color.

Jordan Brand Golf has been sharpening its profile this year. In April, the label revealed the Air Rev — its most technologically advanced model yet — introducing a removable Air Zoom unit and Flight Lock containment system designed to adapt to a golfer’s swing. “The future of golf isn’t tied to its past,” Michael Jordan said in a statement for the launch, noting the aim was to balance performance with iconic style. That dual focus has allowed Jordan Brand to speak to both longtime fans and a new generation of players who want sneakers with cultural weight.
Lambert’s modified golf shoes weren’t the only spectacle, though. Lambert teed it up alongside Eli Manning and John McEnroe for Team USA, facing Europe’s lineup of Catherine Zeta-Jones, Pau Gasol and Tom Felton. The celebrity round was the preamble to the 45th Ryder Cup, kicking off Friday with Europe defending its crown from the 2023 tournament.
