When and where is the service?
According to reports, Charlie Kirk’s memorial begins Sunday, September 21, at 11 a.m. local time (2 p.m. ET, 11:30 p.m. IST) at the State Farm Stadium, home to the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals in Glendale, Arizona. The doors open at 8 a.m. local time, with free seating available for those registering via fightforcharlie.com. All the attendees are asked to wear ‘Sunday best’ in red, white, or blue.
Though the admission is free, the seating will be first-come, first-served. With organisers expecting more than 100,000 mourners to gather in and around the venue, there could be an overflow of crowds. For the unversed, the venue has a fixed capacity of 63,400 that can expand to 73,000. The seating arrangements have also been made at the neighbouring Desert Diamond Arena, which seats another 19,000.
