His demise sent shockwaves through the entire sea of fans in Assam and across different parts of India. While initially details revealed that he passed away in an alleged scuba diving incident, new reports claim that Zubeen passed away while swimming in the sea without a life jacket. Now, amid this, his last tragic video of diving into the sea from the boat with his friends has surfaced on social media.
Zubeen Garg’s last video of jumping in the sea before his demise surfaces
While Zubeen’s fans have been mourning over his loss, a tragic clip of the singer surfaced online. There has been no confirmation of whether the video was taken in Singapore, but he was seen jumping into the sea with a life jacket and enjoying water sports activities with his friends. Zubeen was seen diving into the water with his head underwater, while his friends watched. Well, on the other hand, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has asked for a full inquiry into Zubeen’s untimely demise case. He shared with the media:
“I spoke to the High Commissioner of Singapore, Simon Wong, and requested a detailed inquiry into the circumstances leading to the untimely demise of our beloved Zubeen Garg. He has assured me of complete cooperation in this regard. The state government will impartially ascertain all aspects related to his death, and all arrangements will be made if anyone wants to give any information or be a witness.”
FIR’s against the event organisers of Zubeen Garg’s Singapore event filed
Assam CM Simon Sarma also shared that nothing will be hidden regarding Zubeen’s demise and stated that FIRs have been lodged against the organisers of the event. According to an ETimes report, the first FIR was reportedly filed at the Morigaon police station regarding the singer’s demise, naming North East India Festival organiser, Shyamkanu Mahanta and Garg’s manager, Siddhartha Sharma. The CM stated that the complaint claimed that both of them were part of the conspiracy of taking Zubeen to a foreign country on the pretext of making him sing. The CM stated:
“CID to take over case Since then, several FIRs have been filed across Assam. Multiple FIRs have been filed against Syamkanu Mahanta and Siddhartha Sharma in connection with the unfortunate and untimely demise of our beloved Zubeen Garg. I have directed the @DGPAssamPolice to transfer all the FIRs to the CID and to register a consolidated case for a thorough investigation.”

The CM also stated that the Assam Police in relation to Zubeen’s case will also question his inner circle. The CM shared that those who were with the singer during the last moments would be interrogated. There were reports that also stated that Zubeen was taken to a party the night before his demise. Fresh details also state that Zubeen’s post-mortem has been done in Singapore. His body was then handed to the entourage in the presence of the Indian embassy officials. The Assam CM also clarified:
“As the place of occurrence was not India, we will get the criminal part, if any, from that country, and if he was taken from Assam with a wrong intent, we will get this aspect from the state.”
