Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s Jolly LLB 3 plotline
The story began with ‘Rajaram Solanki’, an elderly and poor farmer of Rajasthan’s Parsaul village, who had to forcefully hand over his land to a company owned by a powerful businessman, ‘Haribhai Khaitan’ (played by Gajraj Rao). The false court order and humiliation forced ‘Rajaram’ to commit suicide, leaving behind his wife, ‘Janki’ (played by Seema Biswas) and his widowed daughter-in-law. The news of his suicide led to a village-wide uproar. To ease the situation, the chairman of Imperial group, ‘Haribhai Khaitan’, decided to pay a visit to ‘Rajaram’s’ widowed wife, ‘Janki’.
He handed her a hefty cheque of Rs. 10 lakh in exchange for her cooperation in vacating her home and leaving the village. However, things got worse when ‘Janki’ tore the cheque and firmly announced her stance against him. Enraged by her action, ‘Khaitan’ gave a false bit that ‘Rajaram’ had an affair with his daughter-in-law, and this was the real cause behind his suicide. Out of shame, ‘Rajaram’s’ daughter-in-law hangs herself, leaving ‘Janki’ alone. Despite being heartbroken and alone, ‘Janki’ decided to fight against ‘Khaitan’s’ exploitation.
She travelled out of the village and went to an NGO, where ‘Sandhya’ (played by Amrita Rao), wife of ‘Jagdish ‘Jolly’ Tyagi’, worked and supported women from Bikaner, who hadn’t got their dues for the acquired land. Hearing about ‘Janki Amma’s’ problem, ‘Sandhya’ sends her to her husband. However, ‘Jagdish’ told her to visit ‘Jagdishwar ‘Jolly’ Mishra’. Back home, ‘Sandhya’ asked ‘Jagdish’ about ‘Janki Amma’, who tried to act innocent, that’s when he noticed that ‘Janki Amma’ had been standing outside his house, fully drenched in the rain.

‘Jagdish’, who initially refused to take her case, citing financial constraints, willingly took up her case after hearing her story. Meanwhile, ‘Jagdishwar’ met ‘Khaitan’, who offered him a daily salary of Rs. 50,000 if he appeared as an opponent in ‘Janki Amma’s’ case and fought on his behalf. Greedy for money, he agreed to his proposal without knowing his evil intentions. The two ‘Jollys’ come face to face in the courtroom as opposing lawyers in ‘Janki Amma’s’ case.
The judge in this case was ‘Sundar Lal Tripathi’ (played by Saurav Shukla), who at the hearing dismissed ‘Janki Amma’s’ plea, giving ‘Jagdishwar’ an early victory. However, soon ‘Jagdishwar’ realised his mistakes when he learned that ‘Khaitan’ had cleared his name in the land acquisition and the suicide case by spreading a rumour about ‘Rajaram’ and his daughter-in-law and decided to disassociate himself from ‘Khaitan’s’ company.
What happens in the climax of Jolly LLB 3
‘Janki Amma’ was about to leave her village after she lost the case, but ‘Jagdishwar’ arrived at the railway station to apologise. She insisted that both the ‘Jollys’, ‘Jagdish’ Tyagi and ‘Jagdishwar Mishra’, fight her case together. Inside the courtroom, their initial clash due to ego, made the hearing go against them. That’s when their wives, ‘Sandhya’ and ‘Pushpa’ (played by Amrita Rao and Huma Qureshi), intervened and convinced them to come together for the fight against ‘Khaitan’. Together, the two ‘Jollys’ plan to stop ‘Khaitan’ from destroying the village for his Bikaner to Boston project. They also sabotaged his racing event by bringing camels onto the racing track.
‘Khaitan’ then appointed Advocate Vikram (played by Ram Kapoor), an influential lawyer, to take up his case. Inside the courtroom, ‘Judge Tripathi’ was shown to be slightly in favour of the two ‘Jollys’. He overlooked their minor mistakes and even gave them extra time to argue on behalf of the farmers. He also rejected Vikram’s request to fast-track the case. Outside the court, ‘Khaitan’ took darker steps by bribing ‘DM Sengupta’ (played by Kharaj Mukherjee) to issue an order forcing the villagers to leave their land. When ‘Jagdish’ and ‘Jagdishwar’ arrived at the village, they encouraged the villagers to stay calm and protest peacefully.
However, the situation goes out of hand when a sniper shot the DM during the protest. The sudden attack left ‘Jagdish’ and ‘Janki Amma’ injured. Later media blamed the farmers for the incident, making the situation worse for the ‘Jollys’. ‘Jagdishwar’ represented the farmers in the final hearing. During the hearing, he received a call and requested that the court allow him ten minutes, as a key witness was about to arrive. Vikram tried his best to take charge and threatened Contempt of Court, insulting ‘Judge Tripathi’.
Soon, ‘DM Sengupta’ entered the court in his hospital bed and confessed to taking a bribe from ‘Khaitan’ and being hit by a sniper planted by him. The courtroom battle ended with ‘Jagdish’s’ passionate speech about how marginalised communities get exploited by the influential and powerful people like ‘Khaitan’. Feeling relieved by winning the case, ‘Janki Amma’ broke down in tears, and villagers celebrated their victory. While the villagers tore down ‘Khaitan’s’ project banner, the two ‘Jollys’ chanted ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’ as justice was served.
