Yolanda Hadid gave an inside look at her daughter Bella Hadid’s “paralyzing” battle with Lyme disease.
The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star shared a heartbreaking series of photos via Instagram where Bella could be seen undergoing treatment for a flare-up.
In one pic posted Thursday, Yolanda hugged her youngest daughter, who was lying in a hospital bed while attached to several IVs and medical machines.
Several other snaps showed Bella, 28, hooked up to an oxygen machine while wrapped head-to-toe with wet towels. Another showcased a large array of medications she has to take to navigate her symptoms.
“🩷As you will understand watching my Bella struggle in silence, has cut the deepest core of hopelessness inside me,” the former model, 61, began the lengthy caption that accompanied the photos.
Yolanda detailed the “invisible disability” of chronic neurological Lyme disease — which she also suffers from — and how she tries to “lead by example.”
“But my own pain cannot compare to watching my baby suffer,” she continued.
The “Believe Me” author then addressed her “beautiful Bellita,” of whom she is “proud,” in a separate paragraph.
“I admire your bravery and your willingness to keep fighting for health despite the failing protocols and countless setbacks you have faced. There simply aren’t words big enough for the darkness, the pain, and the unknown hell you’ve lived through since your diagnosis in 2013.”
Yolanda shared that, since then, the 2022 Model of the Year doesn’t “really live,” but has “learned how to exist inside the jail of [her] own paralyzed brain.”
“I am so proud of the fighter that you are. You are not alone, I promise to have your back every step of the way, no matter how long this takes. You have fought through another month of treatment and I know god is good, miracles do happen everyday 🙏 I pray for your speedy recovery my love.”
She concluded her message by saying that Bella is a “survivor” who will “always get back up” and “fight for better days.
“I love you so much my badass Warrior.”
Bella first sparked concern on Wednesday when she posted alarming photos from a hospital bed, apologizing to her fans for being “MIA.”
“I love you! I hope feel as strong and good as u deserve, soon!!!!!!,” her sister, Gigi Hadid, commented, while her mom, Yolanda, called her a “❤️ Lyme warrior.”
Since her 2013 diagnosis, the Orebella perfume founder has had several flare-ups that have landed her in the hospital.
Her most recent one was in August 2023, where she posted similar hospital pictures to her social media.
“If I had to go through all of this again, to get here, to this exact moment I’m in right now, with all of you, finally healthy, I would do it all again. It made me who I am today,” she wrote on social media at the time.
“I have so much gratitude for and perspective on life , this 100+ days of Lyme, chronic disease , co infection treatment, almost 15 years of invisible suffering, was all worth it if I’m able to, God willing, have a lifetime of spreading love from a full cup.”
She concluded the update by thanking her “genius” doctor and “incredible” team of nurses who helped her through treatment.
“I’ll be back when I’m ready.”
Yolanda and Bella are not the only ones within the Hadid family who suffer from this disease. The former Bravolebrity’s youngest son, Anwar Hadid, was also diagnosed at the same time as his sister.
