According to reports, Cocktail 2 has gone into production in Italy, and the seaside visuals are expected to play a major role in the film’s musical tapestry. The imagery emerging from Sicily shows both actors amidst stunning coastal backdrops, delivering what insiders are calling “grand choreography” and vibrant aesthetics.
While precise details about the song such as its composers or full production team are still under wraps, the scale of the shoot appears to be significant. Locations along the Sicilian coastline were chosen to capture sweeping shots, golden sands and the natural beauty of the Mediterranean, all adding to the film’s glamorous appeal.
An insider revealed to Mid-Day, “The idea is to not only create a visually stunning number with Shahid and Kriti, but also match the freshness of the original Cocktail. The song is likely to be shot in the last week of September.”
During the month-long shoot in Sicily, director Homi Adajania will film several beach sequences. A source from the production said, “The director has set some key moments on Sicily’s beaches. Homi wants to capture the warmth of the setting as he feels it will lend a beautiful mood to the sequences.” Once the Italy schedule wraps up, the team will return to Mumbai next month and start the second schedule after Diwali, with the film slated for a 2026 release.
