A 25-year-old man fell from the second floor of a building in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, sustaining a leg fracture and other serious injuries.

A CCTV video of the incident, which has now gone viral, shows the victim, identified as Nazir, holding a water bottle when he suddenly lost his balance and fell backward from the balcony.

Nazir was working on the upper floor of a building that houses a paan shop and a textile store. Around 4:30 pm on September 9, while drinking water, he reportedly slipped and fell from the balcony.

Fortunately, instead of hitting the hard pavement below, he landed on a scooter parked directly underneath, which likely cushioned the impact and prevented more severe head injuries.

The incident, which came to public attention only after the video circulated on Thursday, has highlighted the unsafe conditions many residents and workers face daily. With open balconies, narrow passageways, and ageing structures, even a minor misstep can quickly turn into a dangerous situation.

Nazir is currently recovering from his injuries.
