Katia Reguero is a classically trained violinist who minored in music in college. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico and was homeschooled in her early years. She studied International Relations at St. Mary’s University in Texas, and later switched to music (violin). Her initial plan was to pursue a career in law; however, fate had other plans for her. Besides being an instrumentalist, she is also a podcast host.
Her show, The Un-a-Parent focuses on the unapparent realities of parenting. She started it in 2022, two years after becoming a mom herself. She is also a social justice advocate who uses her platform to raise awareness about issues such as home birth and breastfeeding. How did Katia Reguero and Francisco Lindor’s love story start?
Francisco Lindor and Katia Reguero’s relationship started when he messaged her on Instagram after seeing her picture. During an April 2022 interview with the New York Post, the MLB players shared that he randomly came across a picture of Katia and thought ‘This girl is beautiful!’ He then DM’d her and they talked for three months before meeting in person in Arizona, where Lindor was for spring training.
The very first meeting was enough to make Francisco realise that Katia was the one for him. Although he hesitated at first at the thought of dedicating himself wholly to the relationship, she eventually changed his mind. Regarding his dilemma between wanting to build a future with her and fearing commitment, he told the New York Post:
“We just hung out and I was like, ‘I think she’s the one.’ At first, I was a little bit like, ‘Ahh, I don’t want to really commit,’ but I knew that she was the one.”

Katia and Francisco tied the knot on December 16, 2021, at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, Florida. They were already parents to a child at the time of their marriage. They welcomed their firstborn, a daughter named Kalina Zoé, on November 4, 2020. Their second daughter, Amapola Chloé, was born in June 2023. They welcomed their third child, a son named Koa Amani, in March 2025.
