Now, in a conversation with Vickey Lalwani, the film director, Prahlad Kakkar has addressed how obsessed Salman was with his Guzaarish lead.

Prahlad Kakkar engaged in a candid conversation with Vickey Lalwani, during which he also discussed the infamous love story and breakup of Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai. Prahlad used to live in the same building as Salman and hence witnessed how the Dabangg actor broke down after his breakup with Aishwarya. Prahlad revealed that Salman was extremely physical and obsessive with Aishwarya Rai. He was quoted as saying:
“He had been very physical with her and obsessive. How do you deal with somebody like that?”
In the same conversation, Prahlad Kakkar revealed that he knows what happened because he lived in the same building as Salman Khan. The director shared that Salman would often come home and bang his head on the wall. He admitted that Salman and Aishwarya Rai’s relationship had been over long before they officially split, and in the end, it was a relief for everyone, as things had become extremely toxic. He was quoted as saying:
“I knew because I was living in the same building. He would often make a scene in the foyer, banging his head on the wall. The relationship had ended long before it officially ended. It was a relief for everyone, her parents, her, the whole world.”

In the same interview, Prahlad Kakkar recalled how Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai’s breakup took a toll on the Guru actress. He revealed that she wasn’t upset about the breakup. However, the fact that everyone took Salman’s side and not hers really bothered her. The director shared that she didn’t trust anyone in the industry after their breakup. Prahlad also admitted that he disagreed with what happened to Aishwarya as everyone stood against her. He was quoted as saying:
“She wasn’t upset about the breakup. She was upset that everybody took Salman’s side and not hers. The truth was on her side. She no longer trusted the industry because it wasn’t playing fair. I could understand if she was wrong and the other party was right, or if both sides were treated equally. But nothing, it was completely one-sided.”
