Janhvi Kapoor and Shikhar Pahariya have been together since the actress was in her teen years. It was only a year ago that the actress slightly confirmed her relationship with Shikhar by posting mushy photos with him and also by wearing jewellery with his name engraved. While all the details about Janhvi and Shikhar’s relationship aren’t known, it seemed to be an on-and-off one, before a reconciliation. As of now, the couple is together and recently, Janhvi revealed whether there’s a possibility of marriage in the near future.
Janhvi Kapoor reveals if she is going to marry her beau, Shikhar Pahariya, soon
Janhvi Kapoor is all set to be seen in the movie, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, which is set against the backdrop of a grand wedding. The trailer launch event recently took place, and during the same event, Janhvi was asked about her marriage plans with her beau, Shikhar. To this, Janhvi said that she’s not planning anything about her marriage now, and she is fully focused on her career, currently. Stating that there is a whole lot of time to plan the marriage, Janhvi mentioned:
“Abhi meri planning sirf filmo ko lekar hai. Shaadi ki planning ke liye bahut time hai.”
Janhvi Kapoor opened up about her marriage plans earlier
Earlier, in an interview with Vogue, Janhvi Kapoor was asked about her marriage plans, and she said that while she hasn’t thought about it much, all she wants is to get married at the Tirupati temple. Janhvi mentioned that she doesn’t want many people to attend her wedding, as she wants to keep it a quick event, since she really wishes her honeymoon to be lengthy. Janhvi further stated that whenever she got married, she would want to deck herself out in Manisha Malhotra’s creations, as she not only loved her but also considered her to be part of her family. Janhvi Kapoor could be quoted as saying:
“I know I want to get married in Tirupati. I definitely don’t want too many people there. I want it to be quick; I want the honeymoon to be very long. I definitely know that whatever I wear will be Manish [Malhotra], because he’s my favourite person and he’s family.”
In the same interview, Janhvi Kapoor discussed the stigma attached to women in the glamour world, where it is often assumed that after getting married, they will not work much. The actress said that she’s very happy with actresses like Kareena, Kiara, Alia, and others changing that stigma and working on some of the big projects, being married, which proves that getting married doesn’t change people’s attention towards the art being provided. Janhvi further shared that she knows she will give her best when she gets married, but right now, she is not in that space, as she is focused on her career, thereby clarifying that she is not thinking about getting married anytime soon.
