Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki was the most-loved television show of Ekta Kapoor in the early 2000s. The show’s lead, Sakshi Tanwar, who played the character of ‘Parvati Agarwal’ received a lot of love. Another person, who won hearts, was her daughter in the show, ‘Shruti Om Agarwal’ played by none other than Tina Parekh. Recently, she made an explosive statement about Sakshi’s behaviour towards her.
Tina Parekh revealed how Sakshi Tanwar was unkind to her
Recently, Tina Parekh appeared on Siddharth Kannan’s YouTube chat show. She discussed her journey on the show and stated that everyone was nice to her on Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, except the lead actress, Sakshi Tanwar. When Siddharth asked Tina if Sakshi was not nice to her, Tina took a pause and stated that she was a nice person, but not nice to her. She added that she wished she were kind to her, but she wasn’t. Tina was quoted as saying:
“She is a nice person, she was not nice to me. I would like to believe ki uski apni ek journey thi, but I wish she was kind to me, she wasn’t, she wasn’t. And I really wish. Ab hum milte hai bahut ache se milte hai. But jis stardom, jis position par vo thi, she was a huge huge star, she is a superstar she is a fantastic actress. Kabhi bolte hai na sitare nahi milte humare nahi mile, I was new, she was a superstar, just wish she was kind to me, she gave me heart attack.”
When Siddharth Kannan persuaded her to tell more about what Sakshi Tanwar did to Tina. She said that she wouldn’t talk about it, but Sakshi knows what she did to her. Tina added that she is sure Sakshi must have also felt bad about the treatment she gave to her. When Siddharth asked if she had ever asked Sakshi why she was behaving like this, Tina stated that she would have if she had answered her question. She stated that from Sakshi to the show’s creative director, they were unkind to her. Tina stated that after some time, her creative director changed, and the show became good for her to work on the sets.
When Tina was questioned if she ever thought of leaving the show amidst a lot of difficulties, she stated that she would often think about it. She would go home crying, but she was bound by the contract. She had no choice, and Tina stated that every day wasn’t a bad one. But they were hard, especially when someone didn’t like you. She said:
“You are bound by contract, you don’t have a choice, you have to work. I am not saying everyday was a bad day, no I am not saying everyday was a bad day, but it was hard most of the times. And when you know somebody doesn’t like you, it becomes difficult. And she is the star of the show.”
Furthermore, Tina was asked if her family knew about the struggles she was facing at work, and she acknowledged that she had shared this with every close person in her life. They would often tell her to leave, but she was bound by a contract. She added that the show gave her a lot of fame, so she stuck by it. Tina clarified that the beginning of a year and a half was terrible, and no one should go through it. After which, things subtled and it was an enjoyable phase.
