One of New Balance’s more celebrated new models is getting a floral makeover courtesy of Atmos. More specifically, the upcoming collaboration is in partnership with the Japanese retailer’s women’s-focused Atmos Pink offshoot.

After giving another one of New Balance’s popular models, the 740, a “Pink Vacation” colorway in March, Atmos Pink is shifting its attention to one of the Boston-based sportswear brand’s newer models. This time, it’s the New Balance 9060 which gets the Atmos Pink touch. 

Images shared by Atmos employee Yoppi show a New Balance 9060 collaboration blending neutral fall-appropriate tones with a floral print. The colorful pattern, reminiscent of what one might find on an old couch, is presented in a jacquard fabric with varying shades of brown suede used on the overlays. The drab tones are carried over to the 9060’s chunky midsole and gum outsole, keeping the shoe rooted in its autumnal tones while still allowing for plenty of color through the printed material. At the heel, a rose is embroidered atop brown suede.

All in all, the Atmos Pink x New Balance 9060 is one of the most adventurous looks yet on the model, which is typically colored in earth tones and devoid of the playful patterns seen here. The 9060 was introduced in 2022 through Joe Freshgoods’ “Baby Shower Blue” and “Penny Cookie Pink” collaborations before receiving a wider in-line rollout. In the years since its debut, the sneaker has become increasingly popular, beloved by fans for its chunky “dad shoe” aesthetic and the comfort offered by its combination of New Balance’s Abzorb and SBS cushioning. 

An exact release date for the Atmos Pink x New Balance 9060 has not been announced, but readers can expect it to be launched in the coming months. It’s likely that the collaboration will be exclusive to Atmos, which means it may not receive a stateside release. This story will be updated with new developments.
