Actor, Karishma Sharma, who is known for her work in television and films, recently went through a life-altering experience that left her shaken. A few days ago, the actress jumped off a moving local train, which caused serious injuries. After days of treatment, she is finally discharged from the hospital and has opened up about the dangerous incident on her social media.
Karishma Sharma opens up about the tough and scary experience
Recently, actress, Karishma Sharma took to Instagram Stories to share a photo from Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital and medical research institute. Along the photo, she penned a long message, in which she mentioned that she has been discharged from the hospital. She shared that even though, she still feels the pain, doctors have told her that her wounds are not that deep. She also thanked all her fans and her mother, who stood beside as her strength. She wrote in her note:
“Hey guys, I just wanted to share that I’ve finally been discharged from the hospital. The doctor told me that, thankfully, the injury isn’t too deep, but I will still feel some pain for a while as I recover. It’s been a really tough and scary experience, but I feel so blessed to have all of your love, prayers, and support. Honestly, that’s what gave me the strength to get through this. And not to forget my mom who took the very next flight and gave me so much strength. Thank you so much for being there for me-it truly means the world.”
Why did Karishma Sharma jump off a moving train?
It was on September 10, 2025, when Karishma Sharma injured herself at the Andheri station in Mumbai. The actress mentioned that she panicked when the local train started to pick up speed and when she realised that her friends didn’t get it, she jumped off the moving train. She revealed on her Instagram that she fell on her back and hit her head. After the incident, Karishma repeatedly described it as traumatic and warned others not to jump from moving trains out of panic. In an interview, she opened up about the incident to HTCity and said:
“I just remember I was on the train, waiting and telling my friends and team to come, and the next thing I know, I’m at some railway station’s medical spot, throwing up like six or seven times. I couldn’t stand straight—they got me a wheelchair and took me to the car.”
In the same conversation, Karishma Sharma also opened up about the injuries and shared that she is still trying to figure out all the wounds. All she is able to process is the unbearable pain. In her words:
“There are a few injuries that I am getting to know about now. I didn’t even realise, but I had water bubbles on my legs, like full water-balloon kind of things around my ankle. I don’t even know what’s going on—my leg was burning. My head is so heavy, I can’t keep it straight. I have to keep it down, and that’s also making my neck hurt.”
