Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil revealed he suffered a stroke in his sleep on Christmas that left him having to “learn how to walk again.”

“My whole left side went out,” the rock star shared in his Las Vegas Review-Journal interview, which was published on Friday.

“I had to learn to walk again, and that was tough,” Neil continued. “The doctors said they didn’t think I’d be able to go back on stage again. I go, ‘No, no, I’m gonna do it. Watch and see.’”

In March, the band announced they would be postponing their Las Vegas residency as Neil was expected to “undergo a medical procedure.” Though, at the time, they didn’t disclose any further details.

“Motley canceled the first part of the (residency) so I could get better,” he told the outlet.

Neil spent months working in physical therapy from his home in Nashville, where he lives with his longtime girlfriend Rain Hannah Andreani.

“I went from people carrying me to the bathroom, because I couldn’t walk myself, finally to a wheelchair,” Neil recalled.

“I graduated to a walker, and then I had a cane. Now I don’t need anything. But it’s like a full-time job getting back to where you feel good again.”

The rocker, 64, worked with a local football coach, running through ladder agility drills and several other workouts until he was able to operate at his usual capacity again.

But “it takes a while to get your brain to start moving your legs, for them to do what your brain wants to do. You try to walk but it doesn’t come out right,” he noted.

The “Home Sweet Home” hitmaker admitted that he’s been doing his workouts “a lot” and has since “learned how to run again.”

“It’s been tough, but I’m back, I’m 90-, 95-percent to where I was before, and it’s going to be great,” he said.

Instead of the group’s original plan to perform from March through April, the residency began on Friday and will run through Oct. 3.

Neil’s stroke took place nearly two months before his girlfriend was severely injured in a plane crash at Scottsdale airport.

Andreani was aboard the Motley Crüe singer’s private jet when it lost control and crashed into a parked plane.

“Rain broke six ribs, the cracked vertebrae still hurts her, it’s what she deals with,” Neil also added in an update. “But she is back on her horses. she goes riding all the time.”
