It’s a dream come true for Kenia Os.
Last year, the pop star was in constant motion, performing night after night on her “Pink Aura” tour through Latin America. The whirlwind schedule left little time for much else, but with the tour wrapped, Os is carving out space to focus on another passion: fashion.
According to the Mexican singer, fashion is a world she’s long admired from the sidelines, so when the chance came to join the fashion week circuit (one of the industry’s more exclusive events), she seized it.
That dream kicked off earlier this year when she attended Paris Fashion Week, making appearances at Willy Chavarria and Y-3 with Adidas — an experience she described as “amazing” and “unforgettable.”
Still, she says, New York Fashion Week has always been the ultimate fashion stage to experience.

“[PFW] is amazing, but I only went…for one brand. This week is different — it’s all-day glam, all-day fashion and a completely new experience for me,” the “Kitty” singer says. “For [NYFW], I think it’s really important to do something different. Experiment, change, make a statement….I think that’s part of what makes fashion amazing, so that’s what [I plan] on doing.”
To kick off her packed NYFW schedule, Os attended the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s NYFW kickoff cocktail event, wearing a formal black dress paired with white gloves. There, she mingled with some of fashion’s biggest names, including Anna Wintour, CFDA chairman Thom Browne, designers Michael Kors and Vera Wang and model Anok Yai.
“I was right next to so many [incredible] people like Anna Wintour who I love…it was surreal,” she says. “It felt so different, so special.”
With just a day of rest between the CFDA kickoff and her first show, Os made her NYFW front-row debut yesterday at Off-White, wearing a sheer red dress accented with an oversize black star at the hip. From there, she’ll continue a busy week with appearances at Kim Shui, Willy Chavarria and, finally, Luar on Sept. 15.

“I love all the brands whose shows I’m attending,” she says. “For me, as a Mexican singer, it’s really important to be here and represent my people and my culture.”
Beyond the Stage
While fashion has become a newfound passion for Os, music remains at the center of her world.
In addition to touring (and managing her beauty brand, K Os Beauty, which she launched in 2021) she has also been documenting her journey for the big screen.
Produced by Sony Music Vision México, Her new film, “Kenia Os: La OG,” captures the biggest show of her career at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes.

“It’s not like Instagram or TikTok where everything looks perfect,” she says. “In the movie, it’s just me — without makeup, without glam [and showing] that I’m not happy all the time. A lot happens when creating a show, and for me it was about showing my most vulnerable side.”
The documentary premiered on Aug. 29 in Los Angeles, followed by screenings in Miami, New York, Chicago and other major U.S. cities before its nationwide release on Sept. 5. As of Friday, fans in Latin America can also watch the film on Disney+.
“[This film] is all about making fans feel safe and inspired by what they see,” she says. “It’s very important for my work and for me as a person. Above all, I want them to see this more real side of Kenia — not just the artist, but my personal life and how I do things. I hope it can inspire them [to chase] their own dreams.”
