Davina McCall doesn’t plan on getting married despite getting the ring?
According to reports, Davina McCall is engaged to hairstylist, Michael Douglas. However, the actress had previously indicated on several occasions that she would never get married again. The TV presenter had recently told The Mirror that she would go on honeymoon all the time but won’t tie the knot. In the same conversation, Davina revealed that she and Michael are in the honeymoon period and couldn’t be happier.
Davina McCall added that she doesn’t understand why she needs to change anything. Davina’s engagement to Michael Douglas comes as a massive surprise to her fans, but will she walk down the aisle, or is that still a big no? Only time will tell. She was quoted as saying:
“We’re in the honeymoon period even after all these years. I couldn’t be happier. And sometimes there’s an idea of why change anything?”
What made Davina McCall change her mind about getting married?
Michael Douglas got down on one knee a while back. However, Davina McCall has not been ready to share the news yet and has kept it a secret from her bosses at ITV as well. However, it was her friend who let the cat out of the bag and shared with The Sun that Michael had gone down on one knee and there was a ring which Davina only wore in private. The friend was quoted as saying:
“She has a ring but is only wearing it in private. It is wonderful news, and everyone who knows them is just so thrilled. They really do make the most gorgeous couple.”
Davina McCall’s friend revealed that the TV presenter had made the decision to take the leap after she was diagnosed with a brain tumour. They shared that the diagnosis made Davina realise how short life actually was. They added that Davina wanted to ensure that her loved ones knew about the
“She isn’t someone who likes to talk about her private life much, so she wanted to make sure all of her loved ones knew the news before she told anyone else.”

Davina McCall was previously married to Andrew Leggett. They tied the knot in 1997 and were divorced just two years later. She then married Matthew Robertson in 2000, and they were married for 17 years before splitting in 2018. She and Michael had been friends for a long time before their relationship turned romantic after her divorce. They went public the same year, and by 2023, she and Michael took the next step and moved in together.
