Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan will host the next Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in 2027, as he urged the authorities to start preparations for it in the national capital.
Sharif announced while addressing a road development project in Rawat area of Rawalpindi.
“We have to start preparing now,” the prime minister said. “We need to build accommodation and beautify Islamabad,” Sharif added.
He did not give a date for the summit, which is held by the member states.
