The Narcotics Control Bureau (Mumbai) has seized assets worth Rs 10 crore that belonged to Thailand-based syndicate leader Navin Chinchkar, arrested for smuggling cocaine and other drugs. The assets include cash, five real estate properties across Maharashtra and 15 bank accounts.
On January 31, NCB officials also seized 11.540 kg of cocaine, 4.9 kg marijuana and 5.5 kg of cannabis gummies, which led to the arrest of nine individuals, including Chinchkar.
The cocaine sent by Chinchkar to Mumbai was transported, received, and distributed domestically, while also being smuggled to foreign destinations as well.
In the course of investigation, other drug associates like illegal hawala operator, transporter, distributor, peddler and other key associates were also arrested.
