And amid this, it was yesterday, when reports claimed that Sunjay Kapur, and his ex-wife, Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, dragged his third wife, Priya, to court, while accusing her of forging his will, excluding his children from his previous marriage. The family feud over Sunjay Kapur’s Rs. 30,000 crore business has been intensifying. It was on September 10, 2025, that the Delhi High Court took up a plea filed by Kiaan and Samaira, claiming a share in their late father’s estate worth crores. The matter was shared in the bench headed by Justice Jyoti Singh, and the advocates from both parties were present, bringing several claims and allegations.
Priya, through her legal team, said that the suit was not maintainable. She also mentioned that Kiaan and Samaira were given Rs. 1990 crore from Sunjay Kapur’s trust, Rani Kapur Trust. She, through her legal team, also mentioned that it was just five days before Kiaan and Samaira filed the suit when they were given the share. The advocate on Priya’s side said that they don’t know how much would be enough, while expressing frustration over the change in the opposition party’s tone after the share had already been given. Priya’s team said:
“And after that your tone changes and you say you got nothing from the assets? I don’t know how much is enough.”

It all began when Rani Kapur said that she was not given the proper reason for her son’s demise, even after asking for the same. She also revealed that she was forced to sign documents behind the locked doors when her son passed away, and she couldn’t comprehend what the documents were all about. When she asked, she was denied any kind of clarification. Following these claims, several rumours about the family feud circulated, and Priya changed her name from ‘Priya Sachdev Kapur’ to ‘Priya Sunjay Kapur’.
On the other hand, Priya’s daughter from her first marriage, Safira, also dropped her original surname Chatwal, and opted for ‘Kapur’ as reported. Such an incident has left everyone shocked, and people started targeting the mom-daughter duo, wondering if their action was due to the property. For the unversed, Priya got married to Sunjay in 2017, and they were together until death parted them.
The duo has a son, Azarius. Apart from him, Sunjay also fathered Priya’s daughter from her first marriage, Safira. Priya was married to Vikram for five years from 2006 to 2011, and they have a daughter, Safira. After Priya’s divorce from Vikram and her marriage to Sunjay, Safira stayed with her mom and Sunjay Kapur.
