Ever since, Govinda’s niece, Arti Singh, got married to Dipak Chauhan, she has been enjoying life queen-size. It was on April 25, 2024, that the TV actress married her businessman husband, whom she had met through an arranged marriage setup. Arti recently spoke about being a bit upset as her mami, Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, did not attend her wedding. For the uninitiated, there was a long-standing feud between Govinda and Arti’s brother, Krushna Abhishek.

Arti was the happiest when she saw her ‘Chichi Mama’, Govinda, and his son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, at the wedding, despite a feud going on with Krushna Abhishek. Arti, in a recent interview with Hauterrfly, expressed her disappointment that Sunita Ahuja did not come to her wedding. Arti revealed that her mami later cried seeing her post-marriage. In the words of Arti:
“I wish my mami came, but she was a little sceptical. So it’s okay. But phir mei unko baadmei milne gayi thi and she was very emotional. She cried also kyuki mei sindoor lagake gayi thi na. She was very happy to see me. Namu also I met she was very happy.”

For the unversed, for a long time, Govinda and his nephew shared a warm relationship until things went south. They said a lot of nasty things about one another in public, and they later tried to sort things out. Krushna’s sister did mention how her Chichi Mama came to her wedding despite issues cropping up between her brother, Krushna and Arti. She shared:
“Joh bhi chal raha tha usmei Chichi Mama ka mere shaadi mei aana. He gave me the best gift. Like it was a blessing. He told me matlab mei aaunga zaroor aur he is a very honest man. Agar unko hota ki unhe nai aana hai toh woh bol dete. Kyuki mei bhanji hu. Mujhe kyu jhoot bolenge.”
When Arti Singh addressed the fight between Govinda and Krushna Abhishek
Arti and Dipak got married in front of their close friends and family. She, in an earlier interview with Paras Chhabra for his podcast, mentioned being the happiest when Govinda came to bless her during the wedding for a while. For her, it was a very big thing as she was always taken care of by him. Arti did address the fight that took place in her family and said:
“I never had anything with him. You know me. I love him a lot. And he has loved me a lot. He has given me so much love. Whatever happened, I was never a part of it. But I am happy that he came for the marriage.”
When Govinda ended his six-year-long fight with Krushna Abhishek
For the unversed, it was in 2016 when Govinda came on the big screen with Jagga Jasoos. He did not appear on Comedy Nights Live, as Krushna was unhappy with his comment, “Maine Govinda ko mama rakha hai.” It became ugly when, in 2018, Kashmera tweeted about people dancing for money. Sunita took offence and cut out all ties with Krushna’s family. Krushna did clarify that the tweet was for Arti. Govinda burned the past by attending Arti’s wedding in 2024.
