Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi are one of the most popular couples of Indian television. They have also grabbed attention for their strong and fun-loving bond. Since the past few months, the duo has been receiving immense love from the audience because of their YouTube vlog. In the latest vlog, the cast of Ek Chatur Naar joined the couple and Parmeet jokingly took a dig at Divya, who worked in the slum during that period.
Parmeet Sethi’s quip towards Divya Khosla Kumar
Divya Khosla Kumar is all set for her upcoming film, Ek Chatur Naar, in which she plays a woman from Uttar Pradesh, who lives in a slum. While talking about her experience, she mentioned that since the film demanded that, she lived in an actual slum for almost a month. She even did scenes in an open naala. She explained that, “It was an open naala, I was standing at the verge of the naala. I was this close to falling in there. I was extremely scared. They made me do everything, including jhadu, katka, pocha sab.” Hearing, this Parmeet Sethi jokingly replied:
“When you are fated to do a certain thing, life makes sure to make you do all that in some or the other way, irrespective of who you are.”
Director, Umesh Shukla did not tell all the scenes to Divya Khosla Kumar before shooting
In the same vlog, the director of the film, Umesh Shukla, mentioned that the entire film is shot in an actual slum in Lucknow, which was beside a gutter. He also mentioned that sometimes he didn’t even inform Divya about the scene they were about to shoot. He sometimes tricked the actors, took them directly to the shoot location and made them stand there. In his words:
“There is this place called Badshah Nagar in Lucknow, that is where we shot this film. It is a real slum. Her jhopdi (hut) was right next to a ganda naala (gutter). Sometimes, we didn’t even tell our actors where their next shot was. The naala scene that we made Divya do, we didn’t inform her about the location. We just took her there and made her stand there.”
Later, the director continued to mention that while shooting the film, he was very impressed by one huge monologue of Divya. He revealed that he has no idea where she learnt that from but was impressed with it. He shared:
“Divya surprised me with a huge monologue, which is now getting extremely popular. I have no idea from where did she work that out.”

Ek Chatur Naar is an upcoming dark comedy-thriller directed by Umesh Shukla, which will focus on two very different people, a woman from a slum area (played by Divya Khosla Kumar) and a rich businessman (played by Neil Nitin Mukesh). The film is produced under the banner of T-Series. The film promises to explore themes like humour, suspense and a cat-mouse game. The film, Ek Chatur Naar is all set for a theatrical release on September 12, 2025.
