“It’s hard to predict what will break a person, but everyone breaks,” Dr. Oliver Wolf (Zachary Quinto) says in a voiceover in the Brilliant Minds Season 2 trailer. “It makes you human.”

But is Oliver the one who’s going to break in Season 2? It certainly looks that way, as he’s apparently a patient … of Dr. Amelia Frederick’s?! Bellamy Young recurs in the role, first appearing in the premiere, as the clinical director for a long-term mental healthcare facility, Hudson Oaks. She’s described as “a worthy adversary for Dr. Wolf.” But trailers can be misleading.

Still, his team of fellows seems concerned he might be “unhinged,” and while Oliver does say to Josh (Teddy Sears), “Why wouldn’t I be okay?” while seemingly out to dinner (perhaps a good sign for their relationship after the finale), something is going on.

The trailer, which you can watch above, as well as the photos from the premiere (below, along with gallery images), also offer a look at some of the patients, including those played by Laura Vandervoort and Molly Bernard. Oliver even gets punched by one!

Brilliant Minds is inspired by world-famous author and neurologist Oliver Sacks, and just like in the first, the second season will continue to follow Oliver and his team at Bronx General as they treat patients. In addition to Quinto and Sears, the series also stars Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II, Donna Murphy, John Clarence Stewart, Brian Altemus, and Al Calderon.
