Miranda Kerr is disclosing new details about her ex-husband Orlando Bloom’s split from Katy Perry.
According to the model, who was married to the actor from 2010 to 2013, he and the pop star parted ways amicably.
Kerr appeared on Thursday’s episode of “The Kyle and Jackie O Show,” during which co-hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie Henderson noted that “mature” Bloom seems to break up with partners “with respect and dignity,” making sure to leave on “great terms.”
Kerr, 42, agreed, replying, “Yeah, I mean, honestly, especially when you have children, it shouldn’t be any other way. Like, the needs of the child always has to come first, and it needs to be harmonious.”
She added, “And you know what? They’re gonna be in your life for the rest of your life because you have a child together, so you just [need to] be peaceful.”
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel shares son Flynn, 14, with Bloom, while he co-parents daughter Daisy, 5, with Perry.
“If you do have that animosity, that only hurts yourself. So actually, if you have forgiveness then you can then feel better from creating peace in your own life,” Kerr stressed during the interview.
She also said that she “love[s] them both” and was with them this past weekend to celebrate Daisy’s birthday, which was on Aug. 26.
“Katy and I were talking to Orlando, and they were like, ‘Let’s get a photo!’” Kerr shared.
“And it was kinda funny. Katy sent me the photo of Orlando and then his two exes on the side. But we all had such a big smile on our faces, you know? We’re one big, happy family — always.”
Kerr described Perry, 40, as “amazing” and reiterated, “I love her. And him, obviously.”
News broke in June that the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star, 48, and the singer had called it quits after nearly a decade together.
“It’s not contentious at the moment,” a source told Us Weekly at the time, claiming that Perry was “upset” but “relieved.”
According to the source, the former couple’s relationship had “been tense for months,” making the split “a long time coming.”
About a week later, the pair released a joint statement confirming that they are no longer romantically involved.
“Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting,” reps for the duo told Page Six at the time.
“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
The “Lord of the Rings” star met the musician in January 2016 at a Golden Globe Awards afterparty.
They got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019 but never married.
As for Kerr, she tied the knot with Evan Spiegel, the co-founder and CEO of Snapchat, in May 2017.
They went on to welcome sons Hart, 7, Myles, 5, and Pierre, 1.
