Overall, even a bad slice of pizza is still a pretty decent slice of pizza. Especially in Italy! I love that I got to experience an authentic Roman slice ~in~ Rome, even if I was unfamiliar with that particular style of pizza to begin with. I’m also not one to hold a grudge, so I’ve forgiven Giada and am ready to end our one-sided feud. At the end of the day, her pizza (sandwich) recommendation was super tasty, so I have to give her some credit. And I do still trust Giada’s recommendations, though next time I may have better luck at her favorite pasta spot instead. Hey, any excuse to visit Italy again.
