Shilpa Shetty recently took to her IG handle and announced that Bastian Bandra has been closed. This news followed speculation about Shilpa and Raj allegedly defrauding Deepak Kothari, the director of Lotus Capital Financial Services. For the unversed, Shilpa joined this brand back in 2019, and since then, she and the other owners have continued to expand the branches and the business. It was recently in 2025 that Shilpa revealed the branch would be closed. Amid this, let’s have a look at the revenue of Bastian Bandra and its monthly generating amount.

It was back in 2024, when Shilpa Shetty told Zoom that Bastian Bandra paid the highest GST in the hospitality business that year. In 2019, Shilpa Shetty joined the brand, and following this, a new branch was opened in 2020, which was relocated to a rooftop area in 2023. In the following years, two other branches were opened in Bengaluru and Pune. According to the reports, the brand generated a revenue of Rs. 127 crore in the financial year ending in March 2024. Reportedly, before closing in August 2025, the brand generated significant monthly revenue, with sources suggesting Rs. 10 crore in a good month.
Shilpa Shetty announced the closing of Bastian Bandra
Shilpa Shetty took to her IG handle and shared a statement, wherein she revealed that they will close the Bastian Bandra after the Thursday party. Shilpa recalled how amazing the place had been, and the memories have been there. While the recent brand is closing, its traditional Thursday event, Arcane Affair, will continue to take place at Bastian At The Top, which is located in Dadar West. Bastian is a go-to place for the Bollywood celebrities.
Several actresses, including Kareena Kapoor, Malaika Arora, and Ananya Panday, were spotted hanging out in the same place on multiple occasions. The brand reportedly started operating from 2016, and apart from this, the group also includes Bar Called Life, Arth, One Street and Binge. An excerpt from Shilpa’s statement could be read as:
“To honour this legendary space, we are curating a very special evening for our closest patrons – a night filled with nostalgia, energy, and magic, celebrating everything Bastian has stood for one last time. While we say goodbye to BASTIAN BANDRA, our Thursday night ritual Arcane Affair will continue next week at BASTIAN AT THE TOP, carrying forward the legacy in a brand-new chapter with brand new experiences.”
The owners recently sat for an interview with NDTV, during which they revealed that the restaurant has become one of the most famous places in that location. They also bid farewell to the regular customers while extending their thanks to their patrons. The owners also revealed that this isn’t a final farewell, and the place is closing for renovations. According to the owners, they will soon return with something significant in their hands. The owners could be quoted as saying:
“For nine incredible years, our patrons have turned Bastian Bandra into far more than a restaurant. They have made it a home filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. As we take a short pause for renovations, we are deeply grateful for every moment we have shared with you. This is not goodbye – it is a fresh new beginning. We will be announcing something special very soon.”
