Param Sundari did decent business on Blockbuster Tuesday as reduced ticket prices led to better footfalls. While on Monday, the film had dipped a little more than expected to Rs. 3.32 crores, on Tuesday it did better as the collections managed to cross the Rs. 4 crores mark. Yes, had Monday collections itself been in this range then that would have been a lot better but then this has happened on Tuesday now and that helps the film to an extent.
With Rs. 4.31 crores coming in, the film has now moved to Rs. 36.11 crores. This is a reasonable total for the film and Rs. 41-42 crores would be scored by the time the first week is through. Param Sundari is performing better than most Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor starrers in the longest time and it would be a mini-win in itself once half century mark is crossed by it over the second weekend.
Considering the budget of the film and the expectations that came with it, this Tushar Jalota directed romcom has done reasonably well business and will, at least, sail through. There are multiple films from this Friday onwards which means it won’t be having an uninterrupted run. That would make a difference to which side of the Rs. 60 crores mark does its lifetime eventually lie.
