If you were in high school or college back from 2010 to 2015, it’s likely you’ve come across Nasty Gal.
The Los Angeles brand, which was founded by Sophia Amoruso back in 2008, appealed to an edgy demographic of women looking for more excitement out of their wardrobe. The brand offered audiences a mix of grungy-meets-feminine fashions that filled a major hole found in the apparel and accessories marketplaces at the time.
The brand was a major success story, growing quickly from a humble EBay store to gaining nearly $100 million in sales by 2012, according to an article by the Los Angeles Times. If the statistics don’t prove it, a slew of major music industry players like Addison Rae, Gwen Stefani, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, Olivia Rodrigo, Camila Cabello, Taylor Momsen and Kelly Clarkson have all been spotted wearing the brand’s clothing, footwear or accessories over the years.
All good things don’t last forever, though, and with this, the company’s popularity waned, with sales dropping from $85 million in 2014 to $77 million in 2015 also according to an article published by the Los Angeles Times. Nasty Gal filed for bankruptcy in late 2016, citing a combination of unsustainable hypergrowth, poor financial management and growing operational issues. In 2017, the company was acquired for $40 million by British retailer BooHoo Group and has continued operating quietly ever since.
Fast forward to 2025 and the brand is now available on Amazon. Millennials rejoice! ShopBillboard has taken time to peruse the brand’s storefront to share a few of our favorite fall pieces we think you’ll love. If you’re looking to revamp your fall wardrobe or you’re just feeling nostalgic, well, you’re in the right place. We found everything from statement denim to tailored blazers starting at $58. Keep reading to shop our picks below.
This grungy meets boho Western Studded Denim Jacket in black is sure to upgrade your outerwear game tenfold. Sizing options range from 0 to 14. Retailing for $189.00, the jacket is constructed of sturdy black denim and features studded accents in silver throughout, giving the outerwear an edgy and visually interesting finish. The jacket also features a collared neckline and button-up closures, also in silver, running down the front. This edgy piece is a statement-maker for sure, and one we’d likely pair with something like a graphic tee, black denim jeans and moto boots, tapping into those rocker-esque vibes the jacket portrays.
Polka dots have been everywhere in 2025. From nail art to footwear, the print has become the latest fixture in the ever-changing trend cycle. The Polka Dot Crinkle Chiffon Godet Hem Mini Dress for $100 is the perfect gateway into the trend. Sizing options range from 0 to 14. The style is made of a lightweight white and black polka-dotted crinkle chiffon fabric that moves pretty beautifully. Polka dots featured in the garment alternate in size, creating visual interest. The piece consists of a plunging v-shaped neckline equipped with delicate lace-up closures, creating an adjustable fit to keep your girls in place. You’ve also got an asymmetric skirt that creates visual interest, moving playfully as you move.
Another on-trend piece is Nasty Gal’s Picot Trim Tailored Jort in Lemon for $100. Sizing options range from 0 to 14. While the piece features a lemon colorway, we’d be remiss not to mention its striking similarities to Butter Yellow, a colorway that has also taken over the fashion and footwear landscapes in 2025. The color, which is akin to butter, is vibrant but not overpowering and works well for pretty much every season. These jorts feature a high waist and a tailored fit that would work well in formal situations like a day at the office or a formal dinner. The jorts silhouette is rather masculine; however, Nasty Gal combats this with the inclusion of a dainty lace trim throughout.
Speaking of Butter Yellow, Women’s Butter Pinstripe Tailored Blazer for $198 is another smash hit in our book. Sizing options range from 0 to 14. The vibrant pastel yellow hue is back, this time in the form of an oversized blazer. The style is boxy and pinstriped with a collared neckline and pocket detailing affixed to the front. We’d likely style this piece with the aforementioned Picot Trim Tailored Jorts in Lemon, making for a yellow-on-yellow monochrome moment.
This Long-Sleeve Top in Blue is just too darling. Retailing for $58, the top comes in a soft blue hue and features a collared plunging neckline, breezy bell sleeves and two bow closures on the front. The top is made of breathable cotton, perfect for those hotter fall days. The loose fit is effortless, while the bow accents offer a playful and feminine touch. Sizing options range from 0 to 12. To style, we’d likely pair this top with casual high-waisted jeans and loafers or a lace white maxi skirt and boots for a more boho vibe. If the blue hue isn’t your thing, this long-sleeve top also comes in a white colorway.
Another top that we think deserves a spot on our list is Nasty Gal’s Sleevless Top in Black, retailing for $58. Sizing options range from 0 to 14. The piece is made of a delicate, textured satin fabric and comes in a loose, boxy fit that works well for both formal and casual occasions. The top is button-up and makes for a great layering piece under everything from denim jackets to blazers. It also looks perfectly fine worn on its own with denim. If the black hue isn’t for you, the top also comes in white.
Boxer styles have also become quite trendy in 2025. The style is synonymous with comfort and translates well to casual ensembles and occasions. Nasty Gal’s Cotton Stripe Boxer Tab Wide Leg Pants are a cozy boxer style with tons of personality. The bottoms currently retail for $78 and come in sizes 0 to 12. The piece is high-waisted and baggy with an elasticized waistband that sits comfortably.
Clear button accents give way to light blue, pink and white pinstriped detailing throughout. Simple pocket detailing rounds out the style. We think this piece would work best in casual situations like cozying up on the couch in a hoodie or fleece and slippers; however, they’d look pretty good worn with a cropped white tee and Adidas Sambas for a quick coffee run too.
