Travis Kelce is going back to August.
The “giddy” and “excited” Kansas City Chiefs player addressed his and Taylor Swift’s engagement on the latest episode of his and Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast.
“It’s been really fun telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with,” the athlete, 35, told listeners on Wednesday while expressing gratitude for the well-wishes he’s received.
He raved over how “cool” it feels “calling someone your fiancée,” which he did at the University of Nebraska versus University of Cincinnati game Thursday.
“It was the first time introducing Taylor as my fiancée to a few of my teammates,” Travis recalled.
As for his advice on popping the question, he said, “You gotta know your gal … and you can’t ;et how somebody else does it make you feel like you gotta do it that way.
“You might be able to get some ideas from how other people did it,” Travis noted. “It might get the creative juices flowing. But know your partner, know who you’re doing it for. Everything else will be beautiful.”
Travis and his Grammy-winning fiancée, also 35, shared proposal pictures in a joint Instagram post last week.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” the duo captioned the Aug. 26 social media upload, which was set to the “So High School” song about their romance.
When “New Heights” aired the following day, fans were disappointed when the tight end did not speak about getting down on one knee.
Jason, however, did congratulate the couple on the “gigantic piece of new news” at the top of the Aug. 27 release.
The retired NFL player, 37, gave a “giant congratulations for being engaged” after the “proposal heard around the world.
The former Philadelphia Eagles center gushed, “F–k yeah!”
Travis did, however, look back on interviewing Swift on “New Heights” earlier that same month as a special way to announce her forthcoming “The Life of a Showgirl” album.
The Super Bowl winner admitted that it was “hard” to interview his partner, praising Jason for “crush[ing] it” with “Barbara Walters”-esque queries.
Eagle-eyed Swifties have speculated that Travis proposed the day they filmed the episode due to Swift’s manicure and hair creases — and Page Six confirmed on Tuesday that this was the case.
The engagement took place on Travis’ Leawood, Kan., estate “a couple weeks” before the pair went public with their news.
The “Catching Kelce” alum spent six to eight months planning as he was co-designing a ring with jeweler Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry, sources told us.
Swift was a “little antsy” for the sparkler, Travis’ dad, Ed Kelce, revealed during an ABC News 5 interview.
He confirmed that his youngest son asked the pop star’s dad, Scott Swift, “permission” to marry the “Cruel Summer” singer.
Ed claimed the conversation took place a month prior to the proposal.
Travis began dating Taylor in the summer of 2023 after shooting his shot on “New Heights” after attempting to give the performer his number at one of her Eras Tour shows.
