Here comes the bride — in full bloom, of course — as TikTok’s reigning queen of “RichTok,” Rebecca Ma, said “I do” this weekend in Lake Como, Italy.
The influencer and fintech professional, 25, married Canadian software engineer David Pownall in an intimate wedding at Villa Balbiano.
Exclusive photos were shared Wednesday in a Vogue feature, which chronicled the bride’s four designer looks, including a custom Oscar de la Renta gown for the ceremony.
Ma, better known as @BeccaxBloom on social media, kicked off the weekend’s festivities in a look true to her namesake: an Oscar de la Renta mini poppy cocktail dress featuring hand-painted pink-and-white organza petals.
Notably, the flowery look was previously worn by Ariana Grande at CinemaCon during last year’s “Wicked” press tour.
“I wanted my looks to feel festive and true to myself, not just traditional white,” Ma told Vogue. “I’ve always loved wearing color, and the weekend was my chance to embrace it fully.”
An outfit change for the rehearsal dinner was the first of many sweet surprises, with Ma donning an archival Chanel dress with an ice cream motif.
She paired the green-and-pink look with René Caovilla heels finished with jeweled coiled straps, a subtle nod to the Year of the Snake.
The outfit was accessorized with a Bvlgari Tubogas necklace in pink gold with a cushion rubellite and pavé-set diamonds, along with matching earrings and a bracelet.
For the main event, Ma worked with the team at Oscar de la Renta to create a custom gown embroidered with laser-cut peonies.
Sentimental white Chanel heels and a dazzling array of Van Cleef & Arpels jewels provided the finishing touches. Her necklace, matching earrings and ring were all high jewelry pieces from the Folie des Prés collection.
The influencer, who frequently sports Van Cleef pieces on social media, selected a different jeweler for her wedding ring.
“My look was completed by my engagement ring and a Tiffany Victoria wedding band,” she told Vogue. “Fitting, since Tiffany Victoria was also the first fine jewelry collection I ever received as a young girl.”
For the rest of the evening’s festivities, Ma wore another Oscar de la Renta design — her third of the weekend — which also featured a floral motif.
Plucked from the spring 2025 runway, her shattered-glass rose gown inspired the reception’s decor, with a cascade of ombre roses featured in the centerpieces and dusty pink laser-cut table settings, place cards and menus awaiting her guests.
The bride styled the dramatic gown with equally stage-worthy shoes: Christian Louboutin’s classic ballet heels in blush. Ma chose these as “an ode to my childhood spent in ballet studios,” and were a particularly apt choice for a first dance.
Wedding costs have skyrocketed in recent years, but when it comes to getting the most “bloom” for your buck, these nuptials certainly achieved new heights.
We can’t wait to see what her next big event — “a spectacular, traditional Asian wedding on a much larger scale” — looks like.
But in the meantime, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for enviable outfits in Ma’s honeymoon snaps.
