The Who have announced a new box set reissue of the 1978 album Who Are You. Formats include a “super deluxe edition” with seven CDs and one Blu-ray, including 71 unreleased sessions, demos, rehearsals, live tracks, and the scrapped Glyn Johns mix of the album, as well as a new remaster of the finished original. It also comes with a 100-page book and Atmos and stereo mixes by Steven Wilson. A 4xLP box set, 2xCD version, and other vinyl editions are also available. Check out the full tracklist, along with a trailer, below.

Who Are You was released shortly before the death of the Who’s original drummer, Keith Moon, and their subsequent tour was their first without him. The U.S. leg of that tour is captured, newly mixed, on a live album in the box set, which features Kenney Jones of the Faces and the Small Faces on drums and keyboardist John “Rabbit” Bundrick. Also featured are recordings of rehearsals, in 1977 and 1978, from the band’s Shepperton studio, as well as live recordings from the studio made for the documentary The Kids Are Alright.

The Who are currently in North America on a tour billed as their farewell. Revisit Pitchfork’s reviews of the reissues of The Who Sell Out and Who’s Next.
