A bevy of celebrities and guests styled pieces by Iris Van Herpen, Valentino and more for the annual amfAR Gala during the 2025 Venice Film Festival on Sunday.

Stars like Paris Jackson turned to collections from the late 2010s, while Colman Domingo went custom in a look by Valentino. Ahead, WWD breaks down those looks and more.

Paris Jackson

Paris Jackson wore a flowing cape dress by Iris Van Herpen from the spring 2019 couture collection, which debuted in Paris in January 2019. The tonal design of the dress was crafted with an ombré effect, featuring warm yellows and gold transitioning to deep purples and shades of aubergine.

The dress included pleating throughout with a cutout featured just below the cape of the dress. Jackson’s look was styled by Jessica Paster.

Halsey

Halsey turned to Erik Charlotte for their look. The singer wore a navy corset dress by the designer. The look included a cream bodice beneath a bevy of ornately designed, botanical-inspired lace. The skirt of the dress flowed to the floor with a train effect, continuing the floral lace design. At the hip, Halsey’s dress featured feathery elements, adding a contrasting texture to the overall look.

The “Gasoline” singer accessorized with pieces of jewelry by Damiani. Halsey’s look was curated by stylist Lyn Alyson.

Colman Domingo

Colman Domingo, who served as host for the amfAR gala, brought a burst of vibrant color to the event in a custom Valentino look. The two-time Oscar-nominated actor wore a long-sleeve jade green jacket with a wrapped belt at the waist and gold buttons running down the front placket. Gold hardware also featured on the cuffs of the sleeves.

Domingo’s jacket was paired with black tapered trousers and black shoes. His look was curated by styling team Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald.

Sofia Carson

Sofia Carson wore a grand gown by Elie Saab. The “My Oxford Year” actress turned to the designer’s fall 2025 couture collection for her look. The gown featured an off-the-shoulder silhouette with slightly puffy short sleeves atop fitted long sleeves. The sherbet-toned gown included allover floral embroidery.

The annual amfAR gala supports the Foundation for AIDS Research’s efforts to find a cure for HIV/AIDS. Coinciding with the Venice Film Festival, the evening features a bevy of celebrities and high-profile guests for the live auction and charity event.
