For those unaware, the fine was put on Teyana after Iman accused her of breaking their divorce agreement by commenting publicly about the case. He particularly referred to an Instagram video she made earlier this year, accusing him of feeding news reports on their split to media outlets, something he refused. A judge sided with him and ordered her to cover USD 70,000 in legal fees. While frustrating, the singer noted that the payment marked the closing of a stressful chapter and made her gain some peace of mind and was a necessary step to move forward.

Despite the new conflict between Teyana and Iman, cracks began to appear in their marriage long before. When the 34-year-old had confirmed her divorce, she clarified that the infidelity was not a cause for their split, while Iman would remain her close friend. However, according to the court documents obtained by TMZ, Teyana’s statements revealed Iman was unsupportive of her career, and she claimed that he resented her for working after their children were born. She also mentioned infidelity, his arrests for DUI and marijuana possession as other factors.
