Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira is a Malayalam film, which stars Fahadh Faasil as ‘Aby’, Kalyani Priyadarshan as ‘Nidhi’. It also features Renji Panicker, Revathi Pillai, Baby Antony, Lal, Vinay Forrt and many more famous names. The film is directed by Athlaf Salim, known for his film Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela.

As Kerala is celebrating Onam, the theatres are filled with hit Malayalam films, giving a visual happiness to the viewers. Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira, released on August 29, 2025, is written and directed by Athlaf Salim, and it is loved by the audience due to its romantic comedy genre. It is an eccentric romantic comedy-drama set in a different universe altogether. It seems to be a unique concept, which has never been shown in Bollywood.
‘Aby’, played by Fahadh Faasil, is about to get married at the start of the film. But on the night before his grand wedding, his soon-to-be wife, ‘Nidhi’, played by Kalyani Priyadarshan, asked him to meet her. Upon their meeting, she revealed to him her recurring dream of him arriving at their wedding on a white horse. Hence, ‘Aby’ looked excited and made sure to turn it into a reality by the next day.
However, ‘Aby’ dreams of riding a white horse, slips into a coma. Yes, on the wedding day, the white horse, which was arranged for his baraat, turned out to be troublesome, and due to this, ‘Aby’ fell off and got into a coma. His bride, ‘Nidhi’, waited for him to recover for a year, but she ended up moving on with her life. However, when ‘Aby’ finally woke up from the coma, his entire world had changed.
The script is interesting, but it refers to past films of the actors, which seems odd. Not only this, but the characters are not well-developed. Some comedy scenes fail to leave the audience laughing out loud. Also, the screenplay lacks an interweaving of dream and reality, which fails to convince the audience.
