Just this week, word leaked of Nike bringing back the rare, unreleased Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Denim” next year for its 20th anniversary. That isn’t where the fabric will end on the silhouette, though, as confirmation has now come for an in-line pair in all-black.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Black Denim” brings a material change to the classic “Triple-Black” colorway. It’s just like the notorious scheme, only denim dresses the entirety of the upper: underlays, overlays, Swoosh, tongue and all.
Perhaps most enticing about the forthcoming sneaker are the options it presents. Natural distressing will occur over the course of time, and it also offers an ideal slate for customization, be that through intentional distressing or with bleach.
Denim is emerging as a major theme for Nike in 2025 and beyond, beginning with the highly regarded Levi’s Air Max 95 that came in three different shades of denim in July. That collaboration was a successor to an even more hyped Air Jordan 4 from 2017 with the same trio of colorways, and this year has also brought forth an in-line version of the model with several washes of denim in one variant.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Black Denim” doesn’t yet have a firm release date but is expected to release during the upcoming holiday season through the Snkrs app. Pricing is set at $120, and there’s a good chance additional denim variants are in the pipeline.
