Zoë Kravitz and Austin Butler Talk Props, Podcasts, and PB&J in the Latest Episode of ‘Off the Cuff’

If you’re curious about what Zoë Kravitz’s first impression of her Caught Stealing costar Austin Butler was, wonder no more: “Funnier than I anticipated,” Kravitz admits to Butler in the latest installment of Off the Cuff.

Not to be outdone, Butler provides Kravitz with a podcast recommendation (can confirm: Dissect is really, really good) and admits that his worst habit is…not texting people back. Don’t worry, Austin, we’re all guilty of it from time to time!

More secrets are spilled over the course of the video, from Kravitz’s secret talent—which we won’t spoil for you, but suffice to say it’s an uncommonly useful one—to audition horror stories (whoever you are, director who zoned out with Zoë freaking Kravitz performing in front of him, you must publicly identify yourself and atone). If you’re in the mood for more appealingly random trivia about the two actors, look no further; Butler says that if he weren’t an actor, he’d be a hotel parking employee (no, he’s not really sure what that means either, but he thinks it might be like a valet?) and Kravitz was shocked to learn that someone she recently met didn’t know pandas are real.

Prop-wise, Butler has made out like a bandit from the various productions he’s starred in; he’s kept the knives from Dune and the leather jacket from The Bikeriders (among other things), and he’s cozy enough with Kravitz to tease her about “having a lot of opinions” about her characters’ outfits. Don’t worry, though—these two are still likely to be found sharing a PB&J on set.
