The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the detailed timetable for the National Defence Academy (NDA) 2 and the Naval Academy (NA) II examination for 2025 on Wednesday. The official schedule is available at upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in for all registered candidates.
According to the UPSC notification, the NDA 2 and NA 2 exams will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, in two separate sessions.
The first shift will be for mathematics, scheduled from 10 am to 12:30 pm. The second shift will be for the general ability test, set from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. The mathematics paper carries 300 marks, while the general ability test is of 600 marks.
ADMIT CARD DETAILS
Candidates will be able to download their admit cards seven days before the exam. The e-admit card will be available at upsconline.nic.in using the candidate’s application ID and date of birth.
UPSC has urged candidates to carefully check all details on their admit card and immediately report any discrepancies. “No candidate will ordinarily be allowed to take the examination unless he/she holds an e-Admit Card for the examination,” UPSC stated.
EXAM PATTERN AND RULES
The written examination will consist of objective-type questions only. Papers will be bilingual, in both Hindi and English.

Use of calculators, mathematical tables or log tables is strictly prohibited.

No candidate will be permitted to use a scribe.

Questions will follow the metric system of weights and measures.
POST-EXAM PROCESS
Candidates who qualify the written test will move on to the Services Selection Board (SSB) Test/Interview. This carries 900 marks.
The UPSC NDA and NA 2 exam 2025 is being conducted for a total of 406 vacancies across the academies. Those who clear all stages of selection will be admitted to:
