Survivor 49 premieres September 24, and CBS is partnering with Bucket Listers to stage an activation set in Boston timed to the show’s return. The Survivor “Ultimate Fan Cafe” will give viewers the chance to meet for an immersive experience. The cafe’s location also has special ties to fan-favorite alum “Boston” Rob Mariano and Season 49 contestant Shannon Fairweather (meet the full Survivor 49 cast here).
CBS is partnering with Bucket Listers (a booking platform for experiences in major cities across the U.S.) for this limited-time immersive event that will bring the spirit, grit, and glory of the iconic CBS reality series to life with authentic hands-on challenges, special photo opportunities, themed food and drinks, exclusive merchandise, and more.
The Survivor Ultimate Fan Cafe will transform The Greatest Bar (262 Friend St, Boston, MA 02114) from its current West End neighborhood into a fully customized Survivor-centric destination starting Tuesday, September 23, the day before the Survivor 49 premiere. Fans will put their competitive spirit to the test with a curated mix of fan-favorite physical and mental challenges — all adapted for fun, safe indoor play.
The Greatest Bar is a sports bar owned by Shannon’s family. Boston Rob was a bartender at the venue before competing on Survivor. See Shannon and Rob together in her Survivor 49 preview video above. Host Jeff Probst introduces the cafe in the video below.
The Survivor Ultimate Fan Cafe is a ticketed event. Entry tickets start at $30 and include a $10 food and beverage credit for use during the 90-minute reservation. Join the waitlist here to receive first notification as tickets go on sale exclusively through Bucket Listers. Follow @survivorcafe and @boston.bucketlist on social media for all the latest news and behind-the-scenes sneak peeks.
In addition to the authentic Survivor challenges fans can play at the cafe, guests can refuel with a Polynesian-fusion food menu (created by MasterChef finalist and Chopped Champion chef Becky Brown), crafted with flavorful, shareable eats and tropical treats in mind. Expect items like the Sole Survivor Ceviche and New Era Laksa Noodles to be served up alongside an array of desserts, kid-friendly items for castaways in training, and Survivor-style comfort foods like the Campfire Carnitas Tacos and a Double Elimination Burger. Specialty drinks will also be available, including themed Island Spirits and Mocktails, wine/beer by the glass, and shareable pitchers of Jungle Juice or the Hidden Immunity Punch.
There will be a Tribal Council fire pit to hang around, a voting confessional booth, and a signature Winner’s Wall for photo opportunities. A range of Survivor merch will also be available for purchase.
